- Is this motorcycle suit also comfortable during long rides?
- Absolutely! The leather becomes more supple with every ride, and the fit is specially designed to prevent pressure points. The removable protectors ensure you can also wear the suit when you take a break. Perfect for touring and short trips.
- How do I know which size fits me?
- Use our interactive size guide for a recommendation based on your measurements. A personal fitting remains the best check when you are unsure. Early subscribers also get priority access to fitting sessions before placing a final order.
- What safety requirements does Rivetta aim for?
- We develop towards EN 17092 Class AA, a proven protection level for everyday street riding (within EN 17092, AA sits directly below AAA). That means high abrasion resistance, strong seams and serious impact protection. All protectors in the Rivetta Heritage Suit are CE Level 2 and the back protector is included as standard.
- Doesn't leather offer less protection than textile in the rain?
- No, on the contrary! High-quality leather is extremely abrasion-resistant and protects better against scrapes in a fall than many textiles. Leather is also water-repellent, not waterproof, but rain-resistant. For heavy rain showers we recommend a rain suit (which you wear over your motorcycle suit).
- When can I order and what are the prices?
- The Heritage Suit is in production. The Founders Set is €1,199 and expected delivery is August 2026. The current order status is shown on the Heritage Set page.
- Can I try the motorcycle suit before I buy?
- Yes! Early subscribers get priority access to our try-out events before the official launch takes place. This way you can experience the fit, leather and quality yourself and confirm your size.
- What makes Rivetta different from other women's motorcycle clothing?
- Rivetta combines Italian design with a dedicated pattern for women. The Heritage Suit is engineered to EN 17092 Class AA; certification is in progress with OMEGA Lab in Tortona. CE Level 2 protectors are included as standard.
- How do I choose my size for this limited drop?
- Early subscribers got first access before the collection became publicly available. The first 100 sets are reserved as Founders Editions with a numbered label and extras.
- How do I care for the leather of my Rivetta motorcycle suit?
- Treat the leather regularly with a quality leather cream or balm to keep it supple. Store the suit hanging on a wide hanger, out of direct sunlight. After riding in the rain, let the suit dry at room temperature, never near a heat source. Check our care guide page for detailed instructions.
- What protectors are included and are they CE-certified?
- The Rivetta Heritage Suit comes standard with CE Level 2 protectors at shoulders, elbows, hips and knees. The back protector is included as standard, also Level 2. All protectors are removable for washing and easy to reinsert.
- How is my order shipped and how long does delivery take?
- We ship via a premium courier service with track & trace. Delivery within the EU typically takes 3-5 business days. Early subscribers receive their order first.
- What payment methods are accepted?
- We accept credit card (Visa, Mastercard, Amex), PayPal, and various local payment methods. All payments are securely processed through our secure checkout.
- Can I return the motorcycle suit if it doesn't fit?
- You have a statutory 14 calendar day right of withdrawal. Rivetta extends this to 30 calendar days from delivery. The item must be unused with its original labels attached.
- What materials are used?
- The Rivetta Heritage Suit is made of premium Italian full grain leather, selected for abrasion and tear resistance. The inner lining is breathable and removable. Critical seams are double stitched, zippers are YKK and the finish carries the tricolore accent.
- What is the role of OMEGA Lab?
- OMEGA Lab is our accredited testing partner. Together we develop the Heritage Suit with the goal of AA classification under EN 17092. Final certification is confirmed after production and formal testing and documented per model.
- Which leg lengths are available for the pants?
- The Heritage Suit pants are available in two leg lengths: Short and Regular. The size guide advises which version fits your body height so the knee protector sits at the correct height.
- Can the jacket and pants be zipped together?
- Yes. Jacket and pants have a connecting zipper so they can be worn as one suit. This adds stability and keeps the protection in place while riding.
- Do I pay the full amount during pre-sale?
- The secure Shopify checkout shows the active payment methods and all conditions before you place the order.
- Do you ship outside the Netherlands?
- Yes. We ship across the entire European Union. Shipping costs and any local VAT are clearly shown at checkout.
- How long does a Rivetta Heritage Suit last and what if something breaks?
- You receive a 24 month warranty on materials and construction and 6 months on wear parts. Contact [email protected] for assessment or repair.
Safety: EN 17092 and CE Level 2 explained
What EN 17092 and the classes AAA to C mean. The Heritage Suit is developed to Class AA with OMEGA Lab and carries CE Level 2 protectors plus a back protector.
Motorcycle gear is bought on trust. This page explains exactly what the European standards mean, where the Heritage Suit stands today and what the protectors do at the moment it matters.
EN 17092 is the European standard for protective motorcycle clothing. Every garment is tested for abrasion resistance, tear strength and seam strength. The result determines the class, from AAA down to C. The higher the class, the tougher the test.
Heaviest level, aimed at track and very sporty riding. Often heavier and warmer in daily use.
High protection level for the public road. The balance between protection and wearability most riders need every day.
Base level for protective motorcycle clothing, often light summer gear.
Same abrasion resistance as Class A, but without mandatory protectors.
Protector holders only, such as underlayers with protectors. No abrasion protection.
The Heritage Suit is developed to EN 17092 Class AA. Development and testing run together with OMEGA Lab in Tortona, Italy, an independent test laboratory for motorcycle clothing. The certification process is ongoing; the results will be shared as soon as it is completed.
Until then, we deliberately do not call the suit certified. What is already fixed today: the leather, the seams and the construction are designed to meet the requirements of Class AA.
Every Heritage jacket and pants ships with CE Level 2 protectors per EN 1621-1. Level 2 is the highest level within this standard and absorbs more impact energy than Level 1. The back protector per EN 1621-2 Level 2 is included as standard, at no extra cost.
Class AA is designed for the speeds and crash scenarios of the public road, from city traffic to motorway. The protectors absorb the blow on impact, the leather and seams protect during the slide. Wear the suit closed and check that the protectors sit in place; only then does the gear do what it was designed for.
The suit is developed to EN 17092 Class AA and the certification process is ongoing with OMEGA Lab in Tortona. As long as the certificate has not been issued, we deliberately do not call the suit certified. The CE Level 2 protectors inside the suit are certified components per EN 1621.
What is the difference between Level 1 and Level 2 protectors?
Both levels come from EN 1621. Level 2 transmits less force to the body in the test than Level 1 and thus offers the highest shock absorption within the standard. RIVETTA fits Level 2 on all zones as standard.
Yes. The jacket includes a back protector per EN 1621-2 Level 2 as standard. This is included in the price.
Yes, all protectors are removable, for example for leather care. Put them back in right away; without protectors the gear offers less protection.
